Advance Plants gives you a crew of tough, dour warriors who’ve seen everything in the bloodstained world of plant hydration. They’ve fought off the dry spells back on Golgotha VII, keeping the daffodils moist despite the relentless assault of the murder-eaters. They stood fast against the Gore Colossus on the moons of Kaiser, where the Lunar Posies need constant H2O to grow. And now, they need you to guide them in battle and watering.
Advance Plants is about watering some (debatably) holy sunflowers, doing so while avoiding the attacks of the Bur-Gun aliens. These vicious life forms will fire Burs at your battle-hardened warriors, which eventually get so annoying that they’ll have to quit their mission. Have you ever had to get a ton of burrs off of you? I would quit a galactic mission over it, too.
Drawing from X-Com and Advance Wars, Advance Plants takes a challenging tactical experience and gives it a light, cheerful touch, creating a fun little mood that’s unique for the genre. I’ve never taken watering plants so seriously before now.
