Ayre offers a shining open world for you to fly over, soaring through the skies on your own dragon (and maybe solving a mystery while you’re at it).
You’re fortunate enough to be best pals with the last dragon, and together, you’re free to meander a colossal world. These lands used to house the Skyriders, a dragon-riding people who probably have some sweet dragon tricks they could teach you. If they were still around. With all of this space, maybe some of them are hiding out somewhere? Or maybe somebody at least left a diary. You know how video game characters are about their diaries, after all. Barring that, maybe you should find out something about this Crystal Comet that’s floating around. Seems like it could be trouble.
You can do some looking into those mysteries, but no one is going to make you do it. You’re free to soar the skies and just taken in the land, seeing what lies atop mountains and down in the valleys. You can just enjoy the feel of the wind through your hair if you just want to cut loose and get away from it all. Or you can swoop through rings in the sky. Not sure why they’re there, but they make for a fun obstacle course. If you’re sick of all of that, you can also hop down and walk around. But one usually doesn’t get a cool dragon pal so they can just WALK places.
Ayre is a nonviolent experience in exploration and adventure, letting you freely fly around or solve mysteries, depending on what you feel like doing. It’s all up to you, but no matter where you go, you’ll likely find a hint of something that will capture your interest.
Ayre is available now on itch.io and Steam.
