Los Ganados aim to give poor Leon trouble yet again, this time from a single plane, in Bio Evil 4, a demake of Resident Evil 4.
Bio Evil 4 turns the 3D shooter into something a bit more sidescroller-y, having you guide Leon, Mega Man-style through spooky locales as you blast the local irritable townsfolk. Expect to dodge scythes, pitchforks, and knives wielded by people who don’t seem entirely all right with you being there. You might also want to watch out for traps underfoot, so don’t get carried away with the pew-pewing.
Bio Evil 4 carries over several elements from the games, including herbs to heal your health, treasures to build up gold, and handy typewriters so you can record your bizarre memoirs and live on through the power of your words. At least, I assume that’s how it works. I have no idea why else there would be so many typewriters out and about these days, otherwise.
This game offers a twitchier, somewhat less creepy take on the classic horror game, but expect it to make up for its newfound cuteness with vicious challenge instead. It is an NES-like demake, after all.
