In 17XX, a killer is turning their victims into sickening musical instruments, and it’s on you to figure out who it is without being murdered or arrested yourself.
Blood Opera Crescendo has you aiding Heinrich, a former orchestra director and skilled composer, in an investigation on who is killing and mutilating people, turning their corpses into sickening instruments. To do this, you’ll have to interrogate various people across the city, finding the secrets of the wealthy and depraved. Just be careful not to follow up on any misleading evidence or questions, as following the wrong path will lead to arrest or death. You are prodding at some very powerful people with your questions, after all.
If you’re having trouble gathering your thoughts, recall that Heinrich takes great joy from music. You’re able to conduct a rhythm mini game through some classic pieces of music, using the song to deduce your way through things. If the music flows, perhaps you’ll get some extra clues, or finally tie some of the events together.
Blood Opera Crescendo offers a high-stakes mystery where you’ll need to carefully discover the outcome, lest you end your game early by believing the wrong thing or following up on the wrong piece of evidence. As much as you love music, you don’t really want to get turned into a human tuba for asking the wrong questions, right?
Blood Opera Crescendo is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can support its creation on Kickstarter, add it to your Steam Wishlist, or grab its demo from itch.io.
