You’re just out on the hallowed boat, a few friends fishing or enjoying the gurgling waters, when tentacled beasts aim to ruin your journey with hundreds of shots in The Treehouse Man.
The Treehouse Man isn’t entirely a pleasure cruise. A nasty corruption is sweeping through the woods and is generally screwing up everyone’s day. Praying to the Treehouse Man isn’t cutting it, so that means you get to take a fancy boat down the river to find the lazy fella and make him get back to work. I’m sure his silence doesn’t mean anything horrible, though.
Getting to him is going to be a bit of a challenge. You’ll be faced with a lot of nasty creatures as you float along, and you’ll need to deal with their dozens of shots through real- and turn-based combat. You can outfit your boat with weapons and improvements so you’re not just hoping they get tired of shooting you, too. Feel free to customize the ride how you like.
Weapons won’t be your only pals in the eerie waters of The Treehouse Man. You can pick up various odd travelling companions to keep you company while monsters look to eat you. Maybe they’ll even help you in a fight! Or, at the very least, they might be able to help you figure out the lore of this place, or comfort you when things inevitably go awry.
The Treehouse Man is available now on Steam.
