Code Romantic will have you training to save the world through hacking abilities. Just try not to embarrass yourself in front of your crush while you’re at it.
Weapons aren’t much help against the machines that menace the world these days. Your best bet is hacking into them and shutting them down from the inside, and for that, we need a lot of hackers. So, the Human Defense Department has to collect as many bright-minded folks as they can and put them to work training to hack these irate machines so we can go back to the golden days of treating our machines like garbage. Or maybe humanity will learn something for a change?
Anyway, Mina Lovelace is one of those students of hacking, following in her mother’s footsteps. It’s hard training (especially if you’re not much of a hacker yourself, as you’re not going to be much help, are you?), but made doubly so by having your crush around. Crushes, while lovely, aren’t exactly the best things to have when you need to concentrate on something important instead of daydreaming about sweeping them off their feet with how cool and impressive you are. The world may be in danger, but Mina is still human like all of us, after all.
If you think you’d enjoy juggling training in complex hacking skills while navigating the complex needs of your heart when it’s swooning over someone, Code Romantic looks to offer a lovely look at the power and needs of our humanity, even in dark times.
Code Romantic is available now on Steam.
