You are able to climb and fly through a world previously owned by your kind.
Now, I am going to say this to start with: I really enjoy games where I can glide around as a bird, and Commune Corvidae delivers that. Not only are you flying and climbing around the entire world, you are also exploring strange areas and mysterious caves, searching for information on the beings that once lives here.
You are a descendant of a past leader of this world. Your family ruled it and they are the ancestors of the people that currently live there. It seems like they might have not been the best leaders, as you’ll note some resentment from some of the people you meet.
These current citizens haven’t seen your kind in a long time, and you won’t really find another like you there either. You can go around and find people to talk to, listening to how they feel about their homes now and how they feel about creatures like you. Many describe your ancestors as violent and cruel, but most look towards a better future and are fine with you now.
There is a lot to explore in Commune Corvidae: caves that wind in many directions, long-abandoned buildings, rebuilt towns, and the world above the sky. There is so much to explore, and you are free to roam and talk to whomever you’d like. You do have an Astrolabe which can teleport you back to a single, central place if you get lost. Someone suggests that you bring this to a different location to see what happens, and you can make that journey if you want.
Along with walking around, you can of course glide, run, and climb, as long as your stamina bar has enough power in it to do so. Literally every surface in this game can be climbed, so no object is too high or unreachable. This is especially helpful when exploring caves and gliding down too far. If you run out of stamina, you can always refill it by walking, too.
Commune Corvidae is a mysterious game that is really nice to explore, with so much to discover and find.
Commune Corvidae is available for $8.00 on Itch.io.
