Your coworkers have tons of annoying paperwork and messages for you, so you’ll have to fire just as many useless communications back at them to survive.
Corporate America is an office battle where the loser is the person who has to send the most replies and deal with the most files. You and a few friends/foes will rush through a stirring office environment, all firing emails at one another through your phones or trying to bludgeon each other with stacks of papers. Like in real life, the more emails you have to endure, the closer you come to dying.
The game makes a ridiculous take on arena shooters, aiming to capture the fast-paced matches of games like Quake through the doldrums of your daily job. It’s a funny way to play, to be sure, but there is a an odd sense of dread that comes from seeing all of those emails coming your way down an office hallway. Perhaps it comes from having to spend a little too much time dealing with emails in my own careers, but the thought of being overwhelmed through my inbox makes my guts twist up in fear.
Corporate America is a speedy shooter to try out with up to fifteen other players, creating the kind of bloody battle you’d likely wish would happen in your own office. It would make for a far more exciting day on the endless crawl to Friday, at least. Plus hitting someone with a pile of paper is a good time.
Corporate America is available now on Steam.
