Cover Your Eyes takes place on a rotten night for Chloe. She’s found her husband’s a cheater, and she also has to get her kids out of town before it descends into hell.
When people have started sprouting a pair of heads on long, creepy necks and you’re being chased by creepy, distorted babies, I would assume it would be about time for one’s cheating husband to fend for himself. Chloe doesn’t seem to think that way, even though she’s got a pair of children in tow who’d probably like to get out of town safely. As such, you’re dragging your merry family about town throughout the game as you look for you greasy hubby, dealing with the dangers that you meet with care. Musn’t waste what little ammo we have, right?
Resources are scarce and enemies are plentiful, so you’ll need to take extra care when a spider covered in human heads comes racing your way. You’ll need to decide if it’s worthwhile to fight or to try to squeeze by, which isn’t an easy decision when you have a pair of kids following along with you. This makes every decision that much more difficult, often leaving you wondering if it’s even worth rescuing your husband (although your cat is missing, too, so at least it’ll be worthwhile to locate them).
Cover Your Eyes offers many tense situations against some gross monstrosities, all tied to a story of the importance of family (and maybe more than a few thoughts on when you ought to cut certain cheating family members loose).
Cover Your Eyes is available now on Steam.
