Doodle Harmony is a game all about finding the pairs of colored creatures and connecting them so they can explode in color.
Doodle Harmony is a one screen game that can be played in about 15 minutes, start to finish, so it’s a good bite-sized experience that matches its price point. On the screen, there are a bunch of creatures, vibrating and slightly animated, who otherwise staying in place. Along with the creatures, there are colored backgrounds that look a lot like their shadows. What you need to do is drag the matching pairs of outlines and colorful shapes together to watch them explode in a vibrant firework.

At first, we didn’t realize that you could zoom out and move the screen around. Once we did, it was much easier to find some of the pairs and to move them about to see what they were doing. You can also zoom in and out a bit to give a tighter look. All of the creatures are in a massive square, which makes it easier to see when you’ve gone beyond the area that the characters would be in. Being able to control that zoom allows you to get a better view of things, something that’s vital when you’re looking for a specific colored-shape to match these shadowy creatures.
At the bottom of the screen there is a number to tell you how many more pairs you need to connect and in the upper left hand corner there is a timer ticking down to show how fast you have been able to complete the game. There is also a night mode which makes all of the white things black, making the colors really pop. When we played on Xbox, each time we made a pair an achievement with the character’s names appeared, which was so much fun! It’s just a delightful little game.
Doodle Harmony is available now on the Microsoft Store and Steam.
