A tiny stick of light is your only guide in Down the Well, lighting your path as you chase down an ominous figure through a mysterious forest.
You’ll happen upon a curious quest that carries a deeper meaning as you explore these dark woods, though. Can you help Tay through the forest and see her quest through?
Tay is certainly up to the task. You’ll have her dashing through dark tunnels, foraging for materials (mostly mushrooms for now), and tracking down the Warden of the Forest, who seems just a few steps ahead at every corner. With some adventuring skills, you’ll find your way to her lair and be issued a quest – a dangerous one. Dive deeper into the forest and you’ll find a crafting station which lets you turn your scavenged nonsense into useful adventuring tools (like snowshoes or rope).
Near that small camp is a large ornate door that gives you a few choices. You will be able to choose how to open the door (plainly with their hands, or using a key) and, depending on the choice, a new area will be unveiled. A pretty handy mechanic for those who want to put a door to use creating multiple paths. Tay will have to use this handy door trick to get to the bottom of the Warden’s quest, and find out just what is happening in this curious forest.
Down the Well looks to offer a foreboding adventure in a gloomy wood, offering surreal exploration and eerie atmosphere as it develops.
