Like a particular landscape you’re wandering past in Eastshade? Just pull out your easel and capture your unique vision of it.
This artistic exploration game casts you as a travelling painter, setting you free in a vast world of quiet woods, dizzying mountaintops, and hidden caverns of brilliant colors. You’re free to wander where you like, seeking out landscapes that catch your eye and turning them into painted artwork.
Not all of your time in Eastshade is spent wandering and painting, though. You’re also able to meet the locals who live in the area, making friends through dynamic conversations. You can also offer them certain pieces of artwork to unlock conversation options, or get them to divulge secrets about hidden places for you to paint. If these are a little out of the way, you can also collect crafting supplies and schematics to design tools that will make reaching them a bit easier.
Eastshade aims to let you lose yourself in a pretty place, using your own eye to find beauty you wish to capture. It’s a kind of personal, artistic expression for those who might not be too comfortable with paint in their own lives, allowing them the delightful feeling of creating their own vision of striking places.
Eastshade is available now on Steam.
