ETHEREAL carries you to a confounding world you can shift and turn in a variety of ways, using a variety of mechanisms and means of movement to get through. You’re encouraged to play around with these environments to figure out what these silent mysteries want of you, steadily finding the way forward through curiosity.

That’s not to say that you’re simply blundering your way through ETHEREAL. The game makes use of color, visuals, and sound to show you the way, if you’re willing to look.

ETHEREAL creates a sense of exploring a surreal land with its puzzles, rewarding the curious as they move ever deeper into a land built of thoughtful machines and movements. Its complexity, and the way it’s all conveyed without saying a word, make it an intriguing puzzler.
