Far Blade will have you tangling with an array of large beasts in a land that is made up of 3D models with a pixel art visual style.
You’re in a mysterious land. The mysterious kind of land where the locals try to beat your head in with tentacles. So, you’re going to be inclined to hit back as you explore the place, trying to figure out what brought you here. Preferably while staying alive, but with the place being filled with boss monsters (the whole thing is one big boss rush adventure), that might not be very easy.
Still, it’s gonna look pretty sharp as you explore. At first look, Far Blade seems like a pixelated action adventure game, but it’s all 3D models done in a pixel art style. The result is a sharp look, one that lets you savor some depth to the pixel art. Very neat to see in action.
The game is still in an Early Access state, so you can get a feel for the camera and general action at the moment. The developer is looking to add some more bosses in the future (bringing the total to seven), but you can still get a feel for the game’s pleasant visual style and some of its cranky bosses right now.
Far Blade is available now (in an Early Access state) on Itch.io.
