Follia – Dear father puts you in the viewpoint of a man looking for his parents in a terrifying campus which just so happens to be filling its dorms with inhuman horrors.
It’s time to prove how much you love your parents. Marcus, our protagonist, wants to find his parents after a strange event has befallen the campus they work at. Upon setting foot in this dimly-lit place, you’ll know that only the strong-stomached will make it through the gauntlet. You’ll probably need a strong heart, too, especially if you’re playing in VR.
You will be armed with only a few items, including a flashlight that seems to be on the finicky side (perfect for monster-infested corridors). You’ll have to use your stealth skills to keep from being discovered by some of the particularly grisly ghouls. Unfortunately, some of these monsters may require different plans of action to get by them – there’s a whole catalog of creatures to fill your nightmares. You’ll need a decisive plan of action – you can’t just sprint from each one in hopes that your endurance is better. Especially when some of them are pretty freaking fast.
On top of these lively horrors (if you survive them), you’ll have some extremely grotesque imagery to stumble upon. I mean, what game isn’t complete without a mouse crawling into a corpse’s mouth? This game will push the limits of your psyche and ask you just how far you’ll delve into this infested world to unravel what happened to your parents and the campus as a whole. It will certainly be a treat for horror enthusiasts.
Follia – Dear father is available now on Steam.
