Forgotten Fields follows a struggling writer as they take some time to go back to their childhood home before it’s sold, exploring the feelings stirred up in the process.
Sid’s got a deadline that’s creeping up. Like, today. He needs a story to apply for a grant, but his inspiration seems to have dried up. It used to be so easy when he was younger. What’s making things more complicated is that he’s been invited to come to a small gathering at his childhood home before it’s sold off. This is happening on the day he needs to get his application for the grant in, adding more complications to something that’s already daunting the poor writer.
Maybe some idea will come of revisiting the place and the people you used to know, though. You’re free to talk with your old friends, take a dive into the ocean, or wander the fields in the surrounding area. You can also take some time to work on the book he’s trying to hash out, experiencing some of the story of the fantasy world that’s created within the pages. Surely, somewhere these two places will intersect at some point. If not, though, at least you’ll get a free supper. Handy thing when you’re going to be broke, soon.
Forgotten Fields is a calming look at nostalgia and the many feelings that can come up when going home to the places that used to be your whole life. It’s yet another lovely experience from the developer of Rainswept.
