Wander some calming gardens, collect seeds, and then create your own lush, wild place with a gnome pal.
VR game Fujii offers a handful of colorful biomes for you to wander through, taking in the alien plants that inhabit them. Not being able to smell the flowers while walking through a garden might sound disappointing, but instead, the flora offers musical interactions should you make contact with them. Each garden is not just a treat for the eyes filled with unique sights, but for the ears through the music you create through your interactions and explorations.
You’re able to take seeds from each of these locations and bring them back to a home garden as well, steadily cultivating your own space within Fujii. This allows you to create your own vision of a relaxing place, as well as put together your own music through the plants you place within it. It’s a lovely touch to be able to shape a place in terms of visuals and music, seeing how the plants change the color and sound of your garden space.
Plus you have a cute gnome buddy to help you through it all. It might get lonely spending all of this time in your own garden (although I’d argue the solitude can be soothing as well), but having this cute creature to hang out with you gives it a whole new charm. I mean, look at its little banjo. I want to hang out with it, that’s for sure.
Fujii is available now on Steam and the Oculus Store.
