Ghostly Matter takes the player through a spooky, spectre-filled romp through a haunted Scottish mansion.
Professor Penderghast isn’t just some stodgy academic looking to fill out a research paper, though. He’s coming to this creepy, cursed place packing paranormal-busting heat, offering an array of exorcising firearms that can be used to clear out the ectoplasm-oozing halls.
Players will be presented with this colossal mansion to explore, given free reign to see what sorts of monsters and ghouls they can find in their wanderings. Like any good haunted place, the Blackwood mansion contains oodles of puzzles and secret places, many of which players can find by shooting walls, wearing the Polterscope to see hidden paths (or much more unsettling things), or prodding around for unseen mechanisms. There’s so much for players to find in these halls, presenting horror-interested explorers with a great deal to find.
While meandering and looking through the Polterscope, you may find yourself looking at some unsettling creatures. Ghostly Matter contains a variety of sickening, scary, and eerie monsters for players to battle, from the classic sheet ghost to the devil himself. These enemies can be dispatched with an array of tools the professor can find, as well as the vast arsenal of ghost-hunting guns he can cobble together. Six different laser, bullet, and beam weapons will let you feel good busting, and offer some fun nods to classic phantom-hunting movies you may recall.
Offering some lighthearted horror, tons of secrets, and an array of wild weapons, Ghostly Matter aims to charm and scare lovers of silly, spooky games.
