I think most people will agree that it is really fun to receive little gifts. These can be anything, from a little tchotchke to a birthday gift to an unexpected letter from a friend.
Gift-Exchange-Machine is all about sharing little GEMs with random people to bring a little bit of joy and excitement where there might be none.
Lowpolis’ Gift-Exchange-Machine is simple and delightful. Everybody who visits the page creates a little postcard image, creates a little sign-off, and creates a signature. They then pick the style of the card and click to post it. You then receive a card back in kind. It’s extremely humble, but also very fun. I’m all for little experiences like this which bring strangers together, and even, in this case, showcase a kindness while still managing to retain anonymity.
To be honest with you, I don’t have any real drawing talent and scribbled out a little shape before deciding what to turn it into. However, I do hope that whoever receives it will be happy with it. In exchange for sending mine out I received a little heart and a kind message. It was signed by somebody who shares a name with my eldest child…
