Henry Halfhead is a quirky sandbox game where you play as a little half of a head that can possess environmental objects to solve puzzles.
Become a coffee machine to get your daily caffeine fix. Turn into a pair of scissors to cut something in half. Reshape yourself into a door so you can open it. There is so much to become in this game. In each room, you are given a sort of list of things to do which sound like normal, average things. In the bathroom, you need to take a little bubble bath, which sounds easy, but is more complex when you are a head that needs to possess items to then use them. Suddenly, you need to push in the soap, become the tap, turn yourself so that the water fills up, all before jumping in, and then becoming the towel to dry off.
These tasks are quite entertaining as you jump in and out of objects and find your way through your house. Packing your lunch becomes a big endeavour. What do you even want to become and pack? You have a lot of choices in how you solve puzzles before moving onto the next item on your to-do list, primarily because there are a lot of options on what to possess in each room. There is something magical about possessing your items and playing around with them. Especially in this colorful world!
Every item you possess also looks like you, possessing your big eyes and your massive nose, which looks very silly. You can also play Henry Halfhead in a two-player co-op mode where your friends can join and drop out as they please. Maybe they can become a knife to cut your bread or a blanket that you can bounce items off of. From what I’ve played so far, it’s shaping up to be some delightful fun.
Henry Halfhead is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can add it to your Steam Wishlist.
