Good news for developers looking to show their game in front of thousands of people: gaming subscription service Utomik has partnered with this year’s Indie Arena Booth to offer discounted (and even free!) booth space at Gamescom.
We have covered the Indie Arena Booth before. However, not only has the deadline for sign-ups been extended to May 10, but Utomik has stepped up to cover some of the costs. It sounds like you can even get a booth for free – with some strings attached.
“Participating developers will receive their Small or Arcade booth at no cost upon signing a non-exclusive agreement to place their game on Utomik. Utomik supports non-participating developers by offering a 50% discount on their Small or Arcade Booth for Gamescom 2019.”
This isn’t exactly free, but still might be worth it at the end of the day. The payout model for games on Utomik is based on play time, and you can find more information about it here. Either way, a 50% discount is pretty great. If you were already considering applying for a Gamescom booth, you have until May 10 to do so!
