Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective sees you trying to find a stolen stone which is somewhere within these huge, busy lands.
Mr. X (not that big, Resident Evil-y one) has up and pilfered the Maze Stone. This enchanted rock turns everything around it into a labyrinth, which is just dandy when you’re trying to track down a thief. Seeing as everything is now a twisting, winding maze, you’ll have to make your way through these winding roads, stairs, docks, and more, talking to the folks you meet and doing your best to get out. Hopefully finding the magic stone by the time you escape these places.
The game feels a bit like a Where’s Waldo book come to life, as it’s full of so many details, events, and people going about their lives. It’s like trying to make your way through a busy city, where there’s things happening everywhere you look. It’s exciting, but a bit daunting when you need to find a single stone somewhere within this place. It’s also easy to get sidetracked by all this stuff, as there’s all manner of minigames, bits of character interaction, hidden objects and trophies, and other delights to be found when you’re supposed to be getting a job done. Still, you may as well enjoy this whole maze business while you’re working your case.
Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective is a treat to pore over, seeing what fun things you’ll find as you work to find that missing stone.
Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective is available now on the Nintendo eShop and Steam. It will be coming to mobile devices later this year.
This looks neat! I actually have a soft spot for elaborate maze books with pictures like this.
