You’re the only source of illumination in Sole, and you’ll use your warm glow to grow plants, unveil murals, and discover glyphs that reveal a lost history.
It’s a little bit dark and lonely in the world of Sole, and it’s your job to cheer things up a bit. That’s not a bad job for a living light source – especially one that leaves an illuminating glow wherever you go. As you bring that light through the land, you’ll bring the world back to life as well, making grass grow and trees bloom as you meander by. Watching that life return to the world makes for a soothing, striking display, with lush colors cascading out from your presence.
It’s not all greenery throughout the world, though. There are also lost ruins and the remains of a long-forgotten civilization. To figure out what happened to this place, you can find glyphs and light up the ruins, steadily discovering more of the story.
Bringing color and light back to this dark place makes for a delightful adventure in Sole, and discovering the secret of the world’s fall makes for a compelling mystery that only adds to the beauty of it.
Sole is available now on the Xbox One, itch.io, and Steam.
