A trip to grandma’s house takes a disturbing turn in COLINA: Legacy, a horror game where your flashlight will help you find clues and stagger the creatures that skulk in the shadows.
COLINA: Legacy puts you in control of Alex, a boy on vacation to visit his grandmother. Grandma’s home has seen better days, though, and after a short time there, Alex finds its decaying halls filled with hidden clues and lurking threats. Built like an escape room, you must find the answer to puzzles buried in the environments, using light to reveal the information you need to unlock the way out.
You’ll be juggling dodging foes while trying to figure out complicated puzzles, too. These creatures, from unsettling dolls to other sickening monsters, can be turned back using a magic artifact placed over the flashlight’s glow. That said, your light does not have infinite power, so you’ll need to keep finding batteries if you hope to keep breathing.
COLINA: Legacy aims to capture feelings of helplessness as you explore the tight halls, building anxiety as you try to figure out challenging puzzles while lethal dolls breathe down your next. Can you concentrate on a brainteaser while someone is biting the back of your head? If so, you may be all right at this game.
Your life is a little weird, though. Just saying.
COLINA: Legacy is available for $9.99 on Steam.
