Little Inferno lets you buy delightful trinkets and toys so that you can savor burning them in the fireplace. But have you burned a Switch game yet?
Super Rare Games has given this award-winning title a new, physical release for the Nintendo Switch, once more giving you an excuse to burn beloved games and toys. It also comes with some trading cards, a color manual, and sticker, all of which seem very flammable in keeping with the spirit of the game.
If you’re unfamiliar with the game, you’ve just gotten your brand new Entertainment Fireplace, a wonderful spot where you can take all of your favorite possessions and burn them to ash. Yes, this may be an unorthodox way to play with these items, but honestly, how often have you played that game you were dying to grab a month or two ago? Those toys that you used to obsess over? The movie you just needed a copy of that just languishes in a box somewhere in the basement? You’ve likely got so many things you loved that you barely think of any more. Why not let them shine again in the glimmering flames?
The game has more than a few things to say about how we consume the objects we desire, and the speed with which we blast through and discard them. It’s also a charming game where you set stuff on fire, one which I find more calming than I care to admit right now.
A regular and steelbook edition of Little Inferno is available now from Super Rare Games. The downloadable game is also available from the developer’s site, the App Store, Google Play, Wii U Shop, and Steam.
