Merchant of the Skies lets you become the owner of a booming business, if you have the trade-skills to make it happen at dizzying heights.
Travel as a captain of an airship and venture across the cities to encounter sights and sales that you won’t soon forget.
This aerial adventure starts you off with a modest ship and a lofty goal of creating a thriving trade business. The best way to do that? Make a LOT of money. Luckily, with your airship, you’ll have the perfect means of getting around from town to town and checking out their local wares to see if you can score cheap resources that may have a heftier demand in neighboring towns.
Once you’ve nailed down who needs what and for what price, you can put down some trade routes to help automate the profiting process a bit. You can then put your hard-earned profits and resources to rebuilding a town, upgrading your airship, or building your very own mansion. What’s a good entrepreneur without a mansion to revel in their wealth?
For those who need a little guidance, a campaign mode is available to encourage you to rebuild the town in steps. While getting the town up and running, you’ll encounter some of the silliest and sometimes downright amazing characters on your adventure. A giant carrot, a giant turtle, there’s a lot of giant things to meet. These characters showcase so much detail and life that you’ll be itching to see what else is in store as you play. Even the backgrounds provide a very relaxed aesthetic and calming color palettes. You may catch yourself getting lost in these skyscapes.
You can even pat a chicken.
Merchant of the Skies is available now on the Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Xbox One.
