Midnight Heist sees you making off with huge crates filled with valuable goods. Assuming you can somehow steal them under bright lights, that is.
Your boss needs you to do some dirty work under cover of darkness, but seeing as you’re scared of all those shadows, it makes your life a bit difficult. None of this skulking around under shroud of night for you. If you spend too much time in the shade, you pass out. A little bar on the left side of the screen will tell you how much more nighttime you can take, so you’ll want to keep an eye on it as you try to stay out of sight. It’s nice that you can endure a bit of darkness, but don’t expect to hide there for long if a guard starts looking your way,
So, the main goal is to figure out the best route to move through the lights without being caught by the guards, as well as find a good way to haul the crate of riches back to your van. Getting yourself to the stuff you want to steal is honestly the easy part, as lugging a heavy crate BACK through everything makes your life much more difficult. Hopefully no guards find it all that strange that there’s a crate in the middle of a hallway now.
Midnight Heist turns the stealth genre on its head in a neat way with its aversion to darkness, and I found it made for some creative situations to work through. I won’t take being able to hide in shadows for granted ever again.
