Moo Lander tells us that when you are a space alien floating above a strange planet and you see some sort of bizarre cow, you just need to capture it.
As it turns out, milk is a pure and effective resource, one that was fought over in a cow-related war on your home planet. You now need to find a way to bring cows back, so that you can help your planet survive. On top of this cow, you also need to find a mythical device called The Lander. All while not getting in trouble, as the world is full of other alien enemies who don’t take kindly to space ships and cow thieves.
As you find your way around this strange world, you will unlock tactical and combat abilities to help you survive just a bit longer. Instead of just dodging giant tentacles and weird pulsing pink skin, you can fight back and remove these creatures from their land. As you do travel forward, you will learn about your character’s story, their emotions towards what has gone on in their world, and what’s currently going on with them.
Don’t get distracted by the narrative, as you’re still on an alien planet, controlling a ship that’s never small enough to fit around all of these different areas, all while attempting to outsmart aliens and destroy them. Moo Lander has some great voice acting, meaning you won’t have to rely on reading, and I also found the visuals themselves to be very interesting, from the recognizable but slightly alien cow to the strange bits of world sticking out and trying to destroy you. It all makes for a silly mixture that’s worth trying the demo for.
Moo Lander is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can grab its demo or add it to your Wishlist on Steam.
