The days of getting mad at your pals for peeking at your screen are over, as you’ll need to sneak a look at your foe’s screen in order to guess where your invisible targets are in Screencheat Unplugged.
Screencheat Unplugged brings players into a four-player shootout where they have no idea where there opponents are. Each character is invisible, so the only way of figuring out where they are to shoot them is to look at their screen and check for landmarks or familiar places. The shooter uses colorful locations that make it easy to tell where your foes are, though, so finding where an invisible person is won’t be as hard as it sounds.
Given the silliness of shooting see-through enemies, Screencheat Unplugged also offers an array of goofy weapons as well. You can clobber opponents with a hobby horse, a car engine that fires energy balls, and a lethal candelabra all add to the game’s lighthearted play. Although you still might get irritated after getting killed with an exploding teddy bear for the millionth time.
Screencheat Unplugged features multiple play modes to keep its invisible shooting entertaining, from regular deathmatches to modes where you have to kill opponents with specific weapons. You can also fight to hold onto a pinata as long as you can. No matter what, the game means to give players an absurd good time, finally rewarding those of us who’ve been cheaty little peekers for so long.
Screencheat Unplugged is available for $12.99 on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
