I hope you have trained with Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing in preparation for this battle. Type Knight kicks it up a notch and puts your typing to the test.
You’ll have to dish out perfectly typed words to take down enemies, or face a gruesome (wordy) death.
Evil has taken over the cemetery and it is your job, as a brave knight, to purify this foul scene. You’ll be pitted against some spooky skeletons that march toward you with their devious words. Of course, it won’t be as easy as knocking down hundreds of skeletons. As you advance, your challenge will be ramped up as bats will swoop down quickly and if you don’t type their word fast enough, you’ll suffer for it.
Some sinister spirits can tie you down and immobilize you, rendering you useless until you break the chains that bind you. It’s a game that knows how to trip players up once they get comfortable, that’s for sure. Luckily, treasure chests may appear as well for you to crack open for some rewards to help you along your journey.
If you’re just savvy enough with your keyboard, you may survive long enough to see what lurks at the end of the cemetery. Perhaps you will even put an end to the nightmare itself. Even if you don’t, Type Knight shows off a gorgeous moonlit background to get lost in while dying to the supernatural. Also, there’s some beautiful music to accompany your unbecoming death. At the very least, your typing skills will probably improve and you can view your words per minute at the end of each run.
Type Knight is available now on Itch.io and Steam.
