Overrun with mutants, the Earth needs a hero to restore peace. And apparently that hero is a robot butler (warrior roomba?!).
In sidescrolling shooter Operation ECHO (inspired by sidescrollers like Mega Man), you will assume the role of a robot given an order to take down the mutants. You’ll be fully equipped with a range of weaponry that will blow your enemies away as well, so cut loose with that blaster and start restoring peace with plasma.
You have to be at the top of your game to play these fast-paced sidescrollers that require more than just reckless spray-and-prays (although sometimes you may have to break out this option when you’ve got a lot of little angry mutants at your heels). Luckily, it isn’t all about reflexes, as you’ll have different types of blasts to combat your enemies with in Operation ECHO. From a heavy shotgun blast to a rapid damage spray, you’ll have all kinds of tools so you can launch the right attack for the right monster.
Just be sure to watch your footing during the platforming sequences. You’ll have your hands full making sure you have a clear path through while not falling to your death, but even if you keep getting your battle butler killed, you’ll have a nice soundtrack to rock out to as you perish.
Operation ECHO’s demo is available for whatever you wish to pay for it on Itch.io.
