Pocket Oasis is a cute hand-painted game where you can take care of plants and decorate your own little world overlooking a quiet city.
I love adorable games that give you time to relax and explore. This title is one of these wholesome, wonderful games that just takes you out of the world and brings you somewhere you can relax. In it, you take care of plants and decorate your surroundings the world gets older.
You have a lovely little balcony, open to the weather. Around your balcony, you can place and move plants about, add furniture, and care for your own little world. Plants need water, fertilizer, and for you to to ensure that any sort of bugs are taken care of. Adding ladybugs to your plants will take care of pests, and also look very cute as they move around.
The game with aims to have you dive in for a little bit each and every day. Water your flowers, take care of any pets you have added to your home, then log out for a bit. Your plants will grow quicker than they will in real life, and it’s easier to figure out how much water they need to thrive. After a while, you can even harvest your plants to make jams.
Pocket Oasis is a really lovely, well made game that clearly has a lot of care put into it. I only had the chance to play a small demo at GDC, however I look forward to adding this world onto my phone to dip into when I am waiting in line or right before bed as a way to pass time and unwind in this busy and hectic world. I didn’t get a chance to get a pet, but I am HYPED for a cat in this world.
Pocket Oasis is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can follow its creation on the developer’s site.
