Yes, Pupperazzi is largely about taking pictures of cute dogs. But you can also interact with them in many different ways, from petting to other silly stuff.
The game is, however, mainly about snapping pictures of adorable dogs of all types. You’re dropped into an open world that’s solely inhabited by dogs, so it’s not like there’s any shortage of specimens for your photography skills. You can feel free to wander down the boardwalk looking for pugs, hit the lighthouse to see if a chocolate lab is relaxing there, or just see what sorts of mutts are meandering down the streets. You can honestly just forget to take pictures and enjoy living in a world filled with dogs, honestly. Sure, the picture-taking stuff is nice (and you can get new equipment to take better pictures, share your pics for social media clout), but it’s just being among all these dogs that’s the best part.
To that end, if photography isn’t for you, you’re free to just walk along and pet the dogs you see. You can also stop to play a little game of fetch, or have a small dance party. You’re also able to terrorize the dogs with a vacuum cleaner if that’s what you’re here for. But that just MIGHT mean you’re a terrible person. Just throwing that out there. There’s a couple of other things you can do with the dogs as well, giving you plenty of ways to just savor your time among these goofy animals. Who can get up to some really strange stuff when they think you’re not looking.
Pupperazzi is a charming experience in taking puppy pictures, but being able to wander a city filled with dogs happily going about their lives is what makes this experience as peaceful and pleasant as it is.
Pupperazzi is available now on Steam.
