Being dead isn’t all bad in the world of purrgatory. It’s just the boredom that can get to you, if you don’t find something to do.
The afterlife is a big stretch of time to suddenly find yourself filling. You’re dead, so it’s not like you’re stuck working to feed yourself or anything any more. You’ve just got as much time as you like to wander the odd place you find yourself in. This makes up much of your time in the game’s world, as you can play around with odd books, tinker in surreal gardens, and play tic-tac-toe with potential new friends. Just keep in mind that this place seems to have a weird sense of humor about itself, so sometimes you’ll find some silly stuff while perusing its libraries and halls.
It’s not lonely, thankfully. Occupying yourself all alone would be pretty difficult. There are several other folks sharing the afterlife with you, so do take some time to talk to them about their hobbies and activities. Having someone you look forward to seeing every day will go a long way toward dealing with that boredom that comes with finding something to do for eternity. The people can be as quirky as the activities in the place, so expect some silly situations to come up as you meet these folks and spend time with them.
purrgatory is a hopeful take on life after death, offering a strange, but interesting place and bizarre people to meet within it. I can only hope I end up somewhere like this when I pass.
