RAWMEN takes the idea of soup servers into a very silly space through online broth-slinging battles.
Playing as men barely covered in aprons, you are looking to throw hot soup at the other fellas within the arena (to burn them to death or something of that nature?). It seems that your ramen is among the best, and this is the only way to find out if it is THE best. Not by taste, not by the color of the broth or balance of salt, but instead by throwing it at other players.
After customizing your mainly-nude character, you are thrown into an arena with a bucket of soup. This soup almost looks like paint – brightly colored and ready to be flung everywhere. Throwing soup into the various park-like arenas leaves big splatters of color. The goal, however, is to hit your fellow soup servers, forcing them into hiding. Your soup is limited, but you can see how much you have left in the bottom center of your screen. Luckily, you can collect power-ups that refill your stock before you run out.
Apart from throwing your basic ramen around, the arena also contains power-ups like fish which can be used to slap other players or a backpack that allows you to mount another player and control them, almost allowing you to be partners in crime.
Your pot doesn’t only hold your soup, but you can also duck into it, using it as a shield. When inside the pot, any soup thrown at you bounces off, but you can’t hide forever.
RAWMEN is a really funny, polished, and wacky game that does take some skill to master. Even if you don’t have that skill, throwing soup as basically naked men is still pretty fun.
RAWMEN is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can add it to your Steam Wishlist.
