In Re:Turn – One Way Trip, a post-graduation vacation goes a bit sour when Saki’s pals disappear and her search for them leads to a spooky old train.
A camping trip with your college buddies seems like a pretty great idea until you find they’ve all wandered off (although this isn’t uncommon when my buddies start drinking, honestly). Saki isn’t just going to sit in the woods by herself, though, so she goes to find them. In doing so, she stumbles across an abandoned train. Stepping inside turns out to be a mistake, as some powerful supernatural beings within aim to bring her to a gruesome end.
In exploring the train and trying to find her pals, she finds time becoming fluid, moments in the past bubbling to the surface as she makes contact with the source of the ghostly misery. It’s a spirit that seems just a hair upset about some unrequited love, but maybe with your help, you can fix that? Or at least dodge the array of massive, terrifying phantom beings that have been born out of the ghost’s misery. I find it hard to feel any pity for a sad ghost when it tries to kill me, though.
Re:Turn – One Way Trip offers some thrilling chases and startling frights as you unravel its unhappy story, making for some delightful spooky times for your Halloween gaming needs. Or if you just like being chased by liquid shadows around an old train. Whatever tickles you.
Re:Turn – One Way Trip is available now on Xbox One and Steam. It will be made available on the Nintendo Switch and PS4 sometime in the future.
