Shady Part of Me takes us across a surreal world, using mechanisms and light so a girl AND her shadow can make it to the end. With a bit of time manipulation to boot.
This girl and her shadow are going through some rough times in this grayscale world, so it would be nice if they had a friend to help them through it. Their journey will play out across a strange land filled with all sorts of bizarre devices, many of which will be pretty handy for helping shadows get around. By fiddling with these machines and working together, you’ll reach the end of this tale and hopefully get through these emotional times.
You might not be an expert in working with mechanical puzzles, leaping over pits, or solving problems with light, but that’s all right. The game allows you to alter time as well, shifting it back so that you can try something else to solve a puzzle. No one wants to see either of these poor beings getting hurt, do they? So, you can just roll back time if you miss a jump or set up your solutions wrong.
Shady Part of Me has some interesting setups and striking places you can work through, all tied together with an intriguing story about the girl and her shadow. That you can do all of this without accidentally killing one of them (yay time travel) should make for a relaxing experience in solving puzzles with light.
