Three gun-toting buddies offer their own shooting and movement powers, which you can switch to at any time, in Omega Strike.
Omega Strike mixes elements of run-n-gun and Metroidvania, creating a delightful mixture that will have players rapidly switching through their well-armed friends. Each of them has their own shot styles that lets you choose how you handle combat, as well as platforming powers that will help you dash through hazards or push clutter out of your way. You’re encouraged to use them all, as you are able to switch between them at any time.
You’ll need the help of all three against the dangerous (but kind of cute) mutant hordes of Doctor Omega. His slew of bizarre bosses and menacing machines are spread throughout an interconnected world made up of seven areas, many with multiple nasty bosses. It’s not all pain, though, as you can find treasures while exploring, and you can use this cash to fund some helpful weapon upgrades.
Omega Strike has newly-released on the Nintendo Switch, too, which is a bit too perfect given its focus on switching characters. There was a joke here about this previously, but as I do not wish to be bludgeoned to death over a pun, it has been removed.
Omega Strike is available on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and Steam.
