The Things We Lost In The Flood urges players to toss their thoughts to the water and read others’ as well in a bleak world where bottles are your only company.
In a post-apocalyptic world, you are a simple person with a boat who’s trying to stay afloat. Mysterious images or ruined humanity may cause a sore feeling, but you can seek solidarity with fellow players in the same boat. Quite literally.
The world has ended. It has flooded, and even ferris wheels have lost half their height to the bleak waters. As you row by in your boat, you’ll see a dreadful view of the world submerged, but perhaps a small bottle will distract you. Players are encouraged to pull up their pen and paper and toss their thoughts to the world. Don’t seclude yourself on this long journey; share your thoughts. Certain clues may help another player out.
Picking up a message may just save your life. Or it could just say something that makes you give up on humanity altogether. But when you see that green little bottle bobbing your way, let curiosity get the better of you and give yourself a break from the lonely and terrifying atmosphere.
