The White Cat’s Dark Affair is a cyberpunk hitman thriller where you play as an assassin making lethal decisions in a point and click style.
The main character is looking to take on a number of jobs that can change the fate of the world as we know it. Not that you start off your day with such high stakes. Each day, you can tinker around in your house. Some things aren’t very important like feeding your fish and taking a shower. Other things, like discovering where you put your weapons and packing up your bag, are more crucial to your missions.

You see, you will be given a random phone call with your mission and then need to get ready for it. Missions in The White Cat’s Dark Affair have different requirements. You’ll need to grab the right weapon for the job, your passport if it is overseas, your money, and clothing for the occasion. Some of these hits require stealth and others require some sort of specific look so that you make a scene.
If you have chosen correctly, you’ll have succeeded at your mission. You will then need to put away all of your supplies, collect your money, and put away the trophy that you collected from the job. Sometimes, if you have done a hit that progresses the story, you can even turn on the TV and see if anyone has reported the job you just did and how it affected the greater world.
I got to play a short version of The White Cat’s Dark Affair at BCN Game Fest and found it to be such an interesting twist on a puzzle game. The art is interesting, the story is futuristic, and it feels unlike other point and click game that I have previously played.
The White Cat’s Dark Affair is currently in development and set to release in 2026, but in the meantime you can add it to your Steam Wishlist.
