Toasty ‘s delicious, dashing marshmallow protagonist is ready to take evil head on. Whenever you’re done hanging out with the game’s charming, wacky characters, that is.
You will assume the role of this squishy hero, armed with a sword and a will to fight. Don’t get too comfy in your hack-n-slash ways, though. There will be lots of action, don’t get me wrong, just don’t turn your brain off mashing buttons just yet. You’ll have to solve some intricate and intuitive puzzles while you’re traversing some dungeons. Maybe even get in a motorcycle race. Let’s just say your skills will be tested in a lot of different ways. Luckily, you’ll be able to hone your talents as you progress, as the game will pit you against bosses that require fancy footwork to defeat.
If there’s one thing Toasty stands out for, it’s the personality. Each character’s design and personality weaves together a world that will make you want to run out and make friends with everyone. Personally, one of the things I find the most fun in RPGs is meeting the townsfolk, and Toasty never ceases to please with its unique cast of characters. Expect to meet interesting folks like a stylish hotdog or a frog trying to perfect his linguistics.
These adorable and hilarious characters make the game so much more enjoyable and we are sure to see more goofy scenes play out in the full release of the game. Perhaps we will be able to unravel the mystery of our sugary hero’s origins…
