Tokyo Snap will have you wandering the streets of Japan, trying to capture photographs of fashion and trendy people to rack up likes on a fictional photo program.
People are milling about the streets of Tokyo as you wander around, camera in hand. You can stop to take a picture whenever you like, but you won’t get very far just taking any old photo. You’ll have to follow fashion trend hastags to see what people want to look at, and then work on your composition and timing in order to get a really great photo.
These are people you;re taking photos of, though, so you might want to talk to them and get their permission before you go rushing to upload that pic. Many of these fashionable people have their own stories to tell, so maybe take a little time to get to know them and what they like to get a feel for taking better pictures of them. Or just talk to them because they’re nice people and not every interaction you have has to be about serving a goal. But you’re not a selfish photographer like that, are you?
Once you get your picture (though shady or friendly means), you can then upload it to Street Snaps. Once it’s up, you’ll get likes and comments on how you might be able to take a better picture next time. As this is a fictional social media program, hopefully the comments are a lot friendlier and more helpful than what you’d get from regular internet dwellers. Perhaps your fashion photography career will flourish with their help after all.
Tokyo Snap is available now on Steam (with a demo out on itch.io).
