Tricky Towers has gotten a physical run from Super Rare Games, allowing you to stack copies of the game itself to create real-world wobbly towers.
The game is reminiscent of Tetris, except nothing’s holding your shaky towers of blocks upright. Can your wobbly structure reach the highest? Well, not if you play Tetris the way I do. You’ll want to stack blocks in the most structurally-sound way possible so that you can make the tallest tower. Nothing to it. Except that you tend to be building towers alongside jealous spellcasters who want to knock you down. You’ll need to block their spells AND cast your own to humble these sky-reaching pretenders.
Tricky Towers will let you play alone or against some local or online pals, depending on whose towers you’d like to overcome the most. There’s also an array of modes that will see you altering your pathway to the sky. Let’s just say you should try to remain calm while racing to get the highest. These things don’t exactly stand up all that well when you’re building them in a hurry.
The Super Rare Games release has a swell manual, sticker, and some trading card packs with it. It also contains the six DLC packs that have been made for the game on other platforms, so you won’t miss out on any wizarding activities. So, if you can see yourself casting down magics from your shining tower in the sky that you’ve built yourself (despite your shaky experience as an engineer), it’s may be worth your while to grab it. Just do it soon. Like, REALLY SOON.
You can order the physical release of Tricky Towers from Super Rare Games. It is also available digitally on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, the Humble Store, and Steam.
