Vending Dokan!: Kozy Kiosk sees you managing a vending machine business in the heart of a busy city in Japan.
The concept of this game is pretty simple: run a successful vending machine empire in the middle of a town with lots of foot traffic. Everything looks realistic from your little spot on a busy corner to the look of the sodas and snacks you’ll be placing into your machine. First, you are assigned a plot of land that needs clearing and cleaning, then you need to set up your vending machine.

You do start off with a little bit of money – enough to grab a machine and start stocking. There are a variety of different items you can place into machines which can attract specific customers. For example, children like things like boba tea, whereas teens like coffee and elders like green tea. Having something for everyone or honing in on a specific demographic can change how well you do.
Along with the machines themselves, you also need to create an atmosphere around your machine – seating areas, defining an area to hang out, trash cans, and adding in lights so that people feel safe grabbing a snack in the dark are all important parts of running your business. Even if you purchase bins, people will still throw their trash on the ground, so you need to check back to each area and clean it up (along with scrubbing your machines as well).
As you grow your business in Vending Dokan!: Kozy Kiosk, you can hire staff to help you restock and clean or even repair broken machines to save you money. The staff do need to be well-managed with a good work-life balance and high morals, though. You also will need to manage a stock room and order new snacks, set prices, and make deliveries so that your empire can run smoothly. I got to play a demo at Gamescom and quite enjoyed how stress free and fun the entire management experience was, especially with the glow of lights as it rained.
Vending Dokan!: Kozy Kiosk is available now on Steam Early Access.
