Frances Finklestein, manager of The Deadbeats, finds himself locked up for the crime of ‘being alive’ in a town of monsters and the undead in wacky adventure title Wailing Heights.
You need to help Frances body-hop his way through a town of creatures, borrowing supernatural powers from whoever you happen to become as your corpse languishes in a cell. Using these various powers and identities, you’ll solve puzzles and the problems of the locals, steadily working your way towards a solution to your imprisoned predicament.
Escaping this town of ghouls is one mission, but you’ll also be dealing with the fact that your band, despite the setback of being dead, wants to get back together and crank out some rocking tunes. This means you’ll also be on the lookout for new sounds, not just from Wailing Heights‘ varied soundtrack, but in the game’s world, steadily growing your musical repertoire. That also helps with the whole possession thing, as you need to play just the right possessing tune to link up with a monstrous body.
Offering a wonderful cast of singing beasts and musical zombies, as well as some sharp tracks from the latest in dead bands, Wailing Heights offers a delightfully spooky and catchy point & click adventure.
Wailing Heights is available for $11.99 on PS4 and Xbox One, as well as $9.99 on Steam.
