Washed Up! will have you guiding your crabby pals as they pick up floating flotsam and organize it on your beach, keeping it tidy and neat.
For whatever reason, pentominos are floating towards your pristine atoll, and it’s your job to make sure it stays clean as can be despite this influx of puzzling trash. Washed Up! will have you enlisting some crab friends to grab this junk as it bobs toward the shore, then organizing it into tight cubes. After a time, these cubes will then disappear, awarding you points while keeping the beach looking sharp. If you can make these cubes bigger and bigger before they’re gone, they’ll give bigger score boosts, but also start taking up a lot of space.
Added challenge comes from the pieces that wash up on both sides of you, keeping you hopping back and forth to put all of this garbage to use. You have access to a few items to keep these pieces from piling up too quickly, or to open up some space when your beach is getting a little too tight. However, if you let too much of a mess build up, or if pieces keep crashing into one another on the sand, you’ll lose.
Washed Up! creates some hectic puzzle solving while also having a nice message about keeping the environment cleaned up. If only most garbage were so convenient to stack together.
