Wicked Willow follows a young witch with a challenging attitude, tasking you with crafting her story and interactions through some trying times.
A near-death incident has awoken some amazing powers in Willow, but done nothing for a bit of a nasty streak in her. She’s a bit judgmental and seems to try to wind people up on purpose, but has still gained friendships with an environmentalist best pal, Avery. Avery is in a jam, though, and needs liver medication she can’t afford or she’ll be in big trouble. How Willow responds to this trouble, despite having magical powers that could likely help, is up to you.
Your decisions about how you’ll help Avery (and you can be pretty selfish about this, if you like), will lead you down several paths through the game’s story. It aims to make each tale feel like a different look at what Willow’s personality could be, allowing for several different takes on who you think she is. As you explore all of these different possible people, you’ll meet several other magical beings along the way, from other spellcasters to a friendly nun who’s become a succubus. Sometimes you just take a whole different career path late in life. Don’t judge them for it.
Wicked Willow aims to offer you the chance to smooch some eligible, enchanted people while you figure out what kind of person you want to be. Seems well worth spending some time with these people and seeing which of their traits rub off on you. Just try not to burn the world down while you’re at it. Or do burn it. I’m not telling you what to do.
Wicked Willow is available now on Steam.
