As a seer, your visions of the future have shaped a nation’s path through history. After a particularly bad vision strikes you, you’ll soon find yourself joining a rebellion against the rulership you helped mold.
Those pesky visions and their prophecies of doom, right? Winds of Change follows you as a former seer and new rebellion member, facing off against the powers of the Triumvirate, the troublemaking folks who rule the globe. Luckily, being among the rebels, you can find some allies as you build armies and try to make use of the weapons you’ll need to overcome the nasty current rulers.
You’ll need to win over hearts if you’re going to have any help in your conquest, though, which means a lot of one-on-one chatting. You’ll be spending a great deal of time talking with party members, romance options, and potential recruits, building a bond with the various warriors, veterans, and everyday people that wander the world. The things you choose to talk about will be pretty important, so try to feel out the right things to say to these people. Or, just be yourself and see how your roleplaying shapes the world. I won’t tell you what to do.
Winds of Change is about how one person’s actions can help steer a world heading into darkness, but it’s also about those quiet moments with friends and how they forge lifetime bonds. Even with the world headed to disaster, it’s about those small moments of laughter and joy that can steel us all for the fights ahead.
Winds of Change is available now on Steam.
