Sintracorp is a massively successful company. And you just got a job there! It’s just a shame that the witch who made the company so much money aims to torment its employees in Yuppie Psycho.
Yuppie Psycho follows Brian, a new hire, as they work through orientation. Brian’s highly unqualified to work at Sintracorp, but fortunately, his job’s different than what he expected. The witch who helped the company get big is now kind of gutting the folks who work there. It’s Brian’s job to curb that kind of behavior with a stern talking-to. Or something. It’s your problem, not the company’s.
You need to help Brian work his way through orientation and the office, getting to know the various quirky coworkers there. Each of them has some skeletons in the closet that might connect them to the dangers in the office (or just reveal them to be slightly unsettling people), and you’ll need to bounce between floors and conversations to see just who these folks really are. All while avoiding the witch and the monsters she’s let loose in the halls. They’re not real keen on leaving you alive.
While carrying on watercooler conversations and hiding from tentacled horrors, you’ll also be working on puzzles and figuring out how to get through the more winding locales of the building. As you figure these mechanisms out, and the mysteries of the people you work with, you just might be able to reach a conclusion about what to do about this whole witch business. Or maybe you’ll get eaten by bulbous spiders. Who knows?
At least going to work here isn’t dull.
Yuppie Psycho is available now on Steam and Utomik.
