Sitting on the throne and throwing out orders may seem like a pretty sweet deal, but Yes, Your Grace quickly establishes the difficulties of keeping everyone happy.
You’ll have to balance your family life, your kingdom, and threats that linger both outside and inside your castle walls.
You will be assuming the role of the king, Eryk. Saddled with the task of listening to the pleas of your citizens, you’ll have to ultimately decide if their plight is worth the limited resources in your coffers. While some requests may seem small, you’ll need to keep your head on straight when darker ones reach your throne room. You may find yourself stuck between a rock and a hard spot when it comes to these requests. To secure the safety of your kingdom, you might just have to get your hands a little dirty with the lords of other kingdoms.
Simply put, this isn’t a game where you can make everyone happy. It’s about figuring out which happiness most benefits you, as selfish as it sounds. Not only are your citizens at risk from your decision making (whether it be good or bad), you have to remember that your family resides in this kingdom as well. Putting yourself (and your kingdom) in a dangerous position will also put them at risk. You may even find yourself having to decide the fate of your own kin.
You’ll have to balance being a diligent king, dutiful father, and doting husband. Not exactly the easiest thing to do when you’ve got backdoor deals and severed heads thrown at your feet. Whoever said that running a kingdom would be easy, though?
Yes, Your Grace is available now on Steam.
